Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) for the Telco vertical in the United Kingdom. You will act as the principal technical advisor, orchestrating strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and more, while maintaining operational health and guiding executive stakeholders.

You will travel ~10% and partner with Solutions Architects, Professional Services, and Sales to expand value, reduce risk, and optimize

Qualifications

• Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
• Knowledge of cloud-based architecture and cloud services.
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing roles as a technical lead with strong communication skills.
• Experience in three or more of: software design, CDN, scripting/automation, database architecture, IP networking, IT security, BigData/Hadoop/Spark, operations management, SOA.

Responsibilities

• Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer.
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
• Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
• Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management with stakeholders from developers to C-suite.
• Consult with partners from developers to executives to align on technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
• Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
• Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly and quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning.
• Assist customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud and uplift capabilities via workshops and sessions.
