Company Introduction
At The Travel Corporation (TTC), we create enriching travel experiences by combining exceptional service, quality and value across our award winning brands. With over 100 years in the travel industry and guests in 70 countries, we are driven by service, with passion, people and purpose at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
TTC Tech is looking for a Technology Project Manager to lead complex, customer facing digital and commerce change across our travel brands. The initial focus is on the Create an Account and logged in experience, alongside Build a Trip, giving guests the ability to shape and save a more tailored trip before booking.
This work touches the full digital journey, from customer identity and product availability through to pricing, basket, booking and payments, and will be shaped alongside brand, product and technology teams, taking account of dependencies on Salesforce, Tropics, Omnichannel and the emerging Order Management System (OMS) programme.
Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, technology teams and external partners, turning an evolving brief into clear decisions, an integrated delivery plan and controlled execution from definition through to launch and adoption.
As priorities evolve, this role may move to support other customer facing technology initiatives. Any change of assignment will be agreed explicitly, this is not a role that expects you to run multiple major programmes at once.
We are looking for a hands on project manager who can navigate a matrix organisation, explain complex software dependencies in plain language, influence senior stakeholders and deliver business outcomes through strong planning, governance and team leadership.
Our Values
- Driven by service
- An inherent passion for travel
- Commitment to our customers and to our people
- Commitment to social responsibility and our five year sustainability strategy
What Will You Do?
- Own the agreed assignment from definition through to launch, hypercare and transition into business as usual support
- Build and maintain a credible integrated plan across brand, product, technology and suppliers, covering milestones, dependencies, resourcing and the impact of change
- Connect the digital experience with the underlying account, product, pricing, basket, booking and payment capabilities, working with specialists without acting as the solution architect
- Work with the leaders of Salesforce, Tropics, Omnichannel and OMS to clarify what each initiative provides and what can be built or released independently
- Bring together business, product, design, engineering, architecture, data, QA, security and operations teams, securing ownership and commitment across the matrix
- Build trusted relationships with brand leaders, sponsors and delivery partners, communicating progress and risk candidly and securing timely decisions
- Apply TTC Tech's delivery framework, maintain clear governance and reporting, and manage risks and dependencies before outcomes are put at risk
- Coordinate testing, business readiness and launch activity, and agree measurable outcomes with the sponsor to track post launch success
About You
- Substantial hands on experience managing software or digital transformation projects from definition through to launch in a complex organisation
- Proven delivery of customer facing digital products, e-commerce, booking, reservations, CRM or customer identity software, with clear personal accountability for delivery
- Experience managing scope, planning, design, build, integration, testing, release and post launch support
- Ability to understand and manage dependencies across applications, APIs, data, vendors and shared platform teams
- Experience leading delivery through a matrix structure, securing work and resolving conflicts without direct line authority
- Strong senior stakeholder communication, including executive updates, credible escalation and obtaining decisions on scope, resources or dates
- Sound project controls, including integrated planning, budgets, forecasts, risk management and change control
- Comfort using collaborative delivery and reporting tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Confluence and Excel, or equivalent platforms
- Experience delivering digital travel, booking, itinerary, availability, pricing, basket or payment journeys
- Experience with customer account and logged in journeys, CRM, personalisation or customer identity
- Experience coordinating a brand facing product with a shared enterprise commerce, reservation or order management platform
- Experience working with software vendors, systems integrators or distributed and offshore delivery teams
- Experience with staged releases and dependencies on platforms under concurrent transformation
You’ll also bring:
- A structured, delivery focused approach that creates clarity and momentum without adding unnecessary bureaucracy
- Technical curiosity, understanding software journeys, APIs and integration risks well enough to question plans and explain consequences
- Commercial awareness of supplier commitments, budgets and the cost of delivery choices
- Flexibility to work across time zones and travel for key planning, stakeholder and launch sessions when required
