The Online Technology team have led the way in delivering outcomes that are driving the transformation of the Tesco Technology platform. We have significantly grown the number of customers who rely on us to deliver their shopping to their home or convenient location. We saw substantial increases in volumes and customers through the pandemic which tested and proved the scalability of the platform. These increases saw use regularly exceed over 1.3m orders a week through the retail platform.
Since then we have scaled and changed the landscape of what we sell online by launching multiple propositions such as Whoosh, Marketplace and recently F&F.
Over the next few years we will be significantly growing Whoosh, continuously pushing the Marketplace proposition and scaling our Clothing mission to become the one stop shop.
This is an opportunity to work in the Online team focusing on the non food side of our business initiatives. With plans to move towards a curated experience for clothing and plans to launch more brands of home and clothing, this is a great opportunity to deliver some truly transformational customer technology. We expect clothing to make up a third of the sales on MP in the coming years and with our newly launched F&F experience this launch comes at a great time.
Sitting in the Online team does not mean you are bound by the restrictions of Clothing or Marketplace. We often interface with the multiple business units and missions a customer comes to the website and app to fulfil, you will be part of the Online integrated programme, product and engineering space.
Technical Programme Managers (TPMs) deliver complex, cross‑functional technology programmes that support colleagues and help serve our customers better. They work collaboratively, influence Product, Engineering and business colleagues and lead the programme to deliver value quickly and often.
