Job summary

Barking Abbey is seeking a Technology and Art Technician (including Hospitality) to join our school and support the Technology, Art and Hospitality departments. You will provide day-to-day technical and organisational help, preparing materials and equipment for lessons across Sandringham and Longbridge campuses.

Experience in Technology, Art, Hospitality or Food Technology is beneficial and specialist training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in Technology, Art, Hospitality or Food Technology beneficial.
• Willing to develop experience in a food-based environment.
• Specialist training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and organisational support for lessons.
• Prepare and set up materials, apparatus and equipment for practical lessons.
• Order and organise resources, maintain stock for departments.
• Provide in-class technical support to teachers and students.
• Assist with safe use and maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment.
• Help maintain safe, tidy practical working environments across campuses.
