Job summary

Barking Abbey School is seeking a Technology and Art Technician (including Hospitality) to support practical lessons across Technology, Art and Food Technology, preparing materials, setting up equipment and maintaining safe workshop environments for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Technology, Art, Hospitality or Food Technology is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical/workshop skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up materials, apparatus and equipment for practical lessons.
• Order and organise resources, maintain stock and provide technical and in-class support to teachers and students.
• Assist with safe use and maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment and ensure safe, tidy working environments.
• Support preparation and organisation of food lessons and food safety compliance.
