Job summary

King’s Academy Binfield seeks a highly motivated Design Technology/Art/Food Technician to support the practical curriculum in our all-through academy. You will work across workshops, graphics, textiles, food technology rooms and ceramics kiln areas, assisting staff and students with demonstrations and equipment preparation.

The role emphasizes curriculum support, technical expertise with stock management, and collaborative culture within the Creative Arts department. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Background in Product Design, Resistant Materials and/or Engineering, or Food Technology.
• Experience in a Secondary School department is desirable.
• Be a team player who is happy to get involved in wider academy life.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and support students to excel.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching staff in the delivery of student practical work and demonstrations.
• Oversee stock levels and prepare equipment for practical work.
• Collaborate with Head of Creative Arts and the wider team to support academy life.
