Job summary

Cars2 Ltd is seeking an MOT tester for their Wakefield location. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5pm with alternate Saturday mornings. Salary up to £39,000 OTE, plus 33 days holiday, life assurance and pension.

Experience in MOT testing (2 years) and a background in franchised dealerships are preferred. You will handle diagnostics, maintain safety standards and deliver excellent customer service in person.

Qualifications

• MOT Testing: 2 years (required).
• Experience with diagnostics and problem solving is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT testing in accordance with DVSA guidelines.
• Carry out vehicle diagnostics and identify faults.
• Explain issues and repair recommendations to customers.
• Work as part of a franchised dealership team and follow store processes.

Motor Vehicle MOT tester

We now have a fantastic opportunity fora Technician MOT Tester to join our team, based in our Wakefield MG. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm and alternate Saturday mornings.

Skills

For this role, we are looking for someone who preferably but not essentially has experience in a franchised dealership with the following skills:

• Main dealer experience preferable but not essential
• Ability to work accurately including diagnostics and problem solving
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
• Be able to use own initiative
• Follow written & verbal instruction
• Have an up-to-date knowledge of vehicle developments, new engine types and electronics
• Have an awareness of health and safety regulations
• Be familiar in operating an electronic VHC process
