Job summary

Coleg Cambria is seeking a Technician to join the Plastering and Bricklaying teams at the Bersham Road campus in Wrexham. The role involves hands-on trade work, maintaining workshops, and supporting learners in a dynamic educational environment.

Essential qualifications include Level 2 in a construction trade, GCSEs, and substantial experience in construction, with emphasis on workshop equipment maintenance. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a Construction related trade
• GCSE level (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable breadth of experience within the construction industry
• Extensive experience maintaining large workshop equipment
• Previous experience of working with learners or apprentices is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day checks on facilities and resources and maintain regular housekeeping of workshops
• Maintain a safe, organised working environment for staff and students
• Participate in relevant training activities and provide technical support as needed

Salary: £26,582 - £27,120 salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.

Coleg Cambria has an opening for a Technician to join our dynamic Plastering and Bricklaying teams at the Bersham Road campus. We are seeking candidates with extensive hands on experience in the Plastering and Bricklaying industry, who are capable of performing day to day checks on facilities and resources, and ensuring regular housekeeping of workshops. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe, organised working environment for both staff and students.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will participate in relevant training activities and provide technical support as needed.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and highly motivated, with a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on our learners' experience.

Essential Requirements
