Coleg Cambria in Northop is seeking a Lecturer in ILS to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves delivering Entry Level programmes, with a salary range of £33,596 to £51,932 and progression potential on the upper pay spine.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching learners with additional learning needs, plus awareness of EFL and RARPA. Desirable experience with Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, sports, and enrichment activities to boost learner confidence is

Competenze

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in sector specific qualification.
• Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed/PGCE) or actively working towards one.

Role Title: Lecturer in ILS

Location : Northop

Contract Type: Permanent: Full time

Salary: £33,596 - £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)

We currently have a vacancy for a Lecturer in ILS to deliver our programmes at Entry Level.

The successful candidate will have proven experience and competence teaching learners with additional learning needs. Experience of working with EFL and RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement). Experience of supporting the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, organising sporting activities and delivering wider enrichment opportunities to develop learners’ confidence, teamwork and life skills would also be advantageous.

What you will do

• Develop and implement a range of teaching and learning techniques, to engage with learners on all levels.
• Create a nurturing and supportive environment for the learners to thrive and develop.
• Deliver both practical and classroom based learning to our students.
• Enrolling learners on appropriate courses and providing coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities as well as ensuring the safety and welfare of our students at all times.

Must haves

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in sector specific qualification.
• A minimum Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification
• Experience of working with/supporting young people with Additional Learning Needs
• Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Additional Learning Needs best practice and legislation
• Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-motivated and well-organised professional who works independently and takes initiative

Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post.
