Coleg Cambria is recruiting a Music Lecturer at the Yale campus on a full-time, permanent basis (37 hours per week). The salary range is £33,596–£51,932, with progression to upper pay spine subject to evidence of progression. Welsh skills at C1 are essential for bilingual delivery.

We seek an energetic, creative lecturer who brings industry insight and a commitment to student success. A Level 5 teaching qualification and a Level 6 qualification in music are required; Welsh language level C1 is

• Inspire and educate: deliver dynamic teaching sessions, design engaging learning materials, and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Guide and support: act as a personal tutor, offering individual guidance and pastoral support to help learners reach their goals.
• Shape the department: participate in course planning, student recruitment, interviewing, and college marketing events.
• Maintain high standards: manage administrative responsibilities effectively, including schemes of work, attendance registers, and course reviews.
• Build connections: collaborate with cross-departmental tutors, awarding bodies, and local employers.

Salary: £33,596 - £51,932 (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.

• Educated to a minimum Level 6 qualification in relevant subject area

• Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.

• Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment

• Current, up-to-date knowledge of developments in the music sector.
