Heartfelt Technologies is a medical device startup focused on improving patient care through innovative technologies. Our mission is to enhance patient monitoring at home using cutting-edge AI-powered medical devices that provide critical data for patients with heart failure. As we expand to large-scale clinical trials, we are looking for a skilled Technician to join our collaborative team and support production, maintenance, and innovation across our product line.

Role Overview

As a Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our devices. From precision calibration to hands-on PCB rework, you will be involved at every level of device production and maintenance. You will also contribute to creating better work processes and tools, helping shape how we manufacture and deliver life-changing healthcare technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Calibration and testing of devices.
  • Modification and rework of PCBs using bench-top soldering facilities.
  • Mechanical and electronic investigation and repair of devices.
  • Design and fabrication of assembly and test jigs as required.
  • Contributing to the generation of design/build documentation.
  • Maintain organised and tidy working areas.
  • Create, implement and improve work instructions, procedures and methodologies.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience in electronic soldering of SMD devices with precision.
  • Confident in the use of basic electronics test equipment such as multimeters, power supplies and component testers.
  • Experience of handling delicate and sensitive components and devices.
  • Attention to detail and be able to correctly follow instructions.
  • Experience of working with electronic medical devices and working in a medical device company.
  • Demonstrated experience of working in a quality-controlled workplace e.g. ISO-9001, ISO-13485.
  • An engineering or physical sciences degree, HND/HNC or apprenticeship qualification in engineering or a technical subject is preferred.
