Job summary

The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a full-time Plumbing Technical Tutor to support apprentices across Slough and Langley campuses. You will mentor learners, conduct progress reviews and ensure compliance with funding/audit requirements while delivering practical plumbing training face-to-face.

Applicants should have a Level 3 Plumbing & Heating qualification, with an Assessor Award preferred; gas qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating.
• Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or willingness to work towards one.
• Gas qualifications (CCN1/CENWAT) are desirable but not essential.
• Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is valued.
• Teaching qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a caseload of Plumbing apprentices across Slough and Langley campuses.
• Carry out regular progress reviews with learners and employers.
• Use digital tools such as e-portfolios and Microsoft Teams to track development and ensure funding/audit compliance.
• Deliver face-to-face plumbing delivery and support learners to achieve their End Point Assessments.

Technical Tutor - Plumbing - Slough, Berkshire Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a full time, permanent Plumbing Technical Tutor to join the Apprenticeship Department at our Slough & Langley College campus.

The role offers a salary of 41,096 (L34) to 44,165 (L37), depending on qualifications and experience.

Technical Tutor - Plumbing

We are looking for a proactive and organisedindividualtosupportand mentor a caseload of Plumbing apprentices across our Slough and Langley campus. In this rewarding role, you will coach learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours, helping them succeed in the workplace and achieve their end point assessments. You will work closely with both apprentices and employers, carrying out regular progress reviews and using digital tools such as e portfolios and Microsoft Teams to track development and ensure compliance with funding and audit requirements. Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating, along with an Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or be willing to work towards one. Gas qualifications (such as CCN1 and CENWAT) are desirable but not essential, as this role focuses primarily on face to face plumbing delivery. Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is highly valued, and a teaching qualification would be a distinct advantage.
