Job summary

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a full-time, permanent Plumbing Technical Tutor to support apprentices across Slough and Langley campuses. The role involves mentoring learners, conducting progress reviews, and delivering face-to-face plumbing sessions while using digital tools to track development and ensure funding compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 Plumbing & Heating and an Assessor Award or be willing to work towards one.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Plumbing and Heating qualification.
• Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is valued.
• Teaching qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor Plumbing apprentices across Slough & Langley campuses.
• Carry out regular progress reviews and track development.
• Deliver face-to-face plumbing delivery to learners.
• Ensure funding and audit compliance in delivery.

Job description

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a full time, permanent Plumbing Technical Tutor to join the Apprenticeship Department at our Slough & Langley College campus. The role offers a salary of 41,096 (L34) to 44,165 (L37), depending on qualifications and experience.

Technical Tutor - Plumbing

We are looking for a proactive and organisedindividualtosupportand mentor a caseload of Plumbing apprentices across our Slough and Langley campus.In this rewarding role, you will coach learners to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours, helping them succeed in the workplace and achieve their end point assessments.

You will work closely with both apprentices and employers, carrying out regular progress reviews and using digital tools such as e portfolios and Microsoft Teams to track development and ensure compliance with funding and audit requirements.

Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating, along with an Assessor Award (CAVA/A1) or be willing to work towards one. Gas qualifications (such as CCN1 and CENWAT) are desirable but not essential, as this role focuses primarily on face to face plumbing delivery. Experience supporting apprentices in a training or education environment is highly valued, and a teaching qualification would be a distinct advantage.
