Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford is seeking a Technical Tendering Engineer to bridge solution engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams across the Inquiry-to-Order process. You will ensure tenders are technically sound, cost-effective, and feasible to deliver to customers.

Based in our Stafford office, you will lead cross-functional coordination, standardize tendering assumptions, and identify risks early to protect margins and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess shop floor capacity, lead times, and constraints to validate feasibility.
• Manage and maintain risk registers with quantified impacts.
• Knowledge of the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) process and its impact on project execution.
• Interest in fostering collaboration between commercial and operational teams.
• Understand how accurate bill-of-materials and labor costing inputs drive project success.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to secure accurate costing and feasibility.
• Standardize tendering assumptions for consistent, quality technical packages.
• Identify risks and opportunities early to protect margins and timelines.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to keep solutions competitive yet executable.
• Improve alignment between front-end ITO and back-end manufacturing execution.
