Job summary

CAF is seeking a Team Leader to supervise a small team of Technicians and prioritise warranty repairs on electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic train systems. You will diagnose faults and guide the team using schematics and diagnostic software while coordinating with customers to ensure timely train availability.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering and be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical/ mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in detecting faults and root cause analysis across train systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Technicians and prioritise warranty repairs.
• Diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis across multiple train systems.
• Liaise with customers to ensure train availability and reliability targets are met.
