Job summary

CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) is hiring for a technical role in the UK with a focus on fault diagnosis and root cause analysis across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will diagnose faults, perform corrective actions on trains in a depot, and ensure passenger service availability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams, and use diagnostic software and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform corrective actions on trains in a depot to ensure service availability and reliability.
• Analyse faults across electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Work in a 37.5-hour week with no shifts, possessing a valid driver's license.
