Job summary

CAF is seeking a Team Leader to manage a small team of Technicians and prioritise repairs, coordinating with customers to ensure train availability and reliability targets are met. You will diagnose faults across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and diagnostic tools, guiding engineers to effective solutions.

Expect to lead in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, with a focus on hands-on technical leadership, autonomy, and delivering high-quality maintenance outcomes

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical/ mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience detecting faults and carrying out root cause analysis across multiple systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and test & measuring equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility for day/night shifts, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Technicians and prioritise tasks.
• Organise warranty repairs and liaise with customers to meet availability and reliability targets.
• Provide technical support and root cause analysis for an advanced fleet.
• Diagnose faults across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
