Job summary

Sovereign Network Group seeks a Technical Surveyor to join the Property Services Team in the Southampton locality. You will provide a comprehensive technical surveying service, specializing in maintenance, repairs, and complex disrepair issues, while guiding internal and external stakeholders.

You will inspect properties, prepare detailed reports, manage contracts, and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes with strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or vocational qualification in relevant construction related discipline.
• Strong knowledge around the cause of damp and mould and HHSRS especially in respect of Awaab's Law legislation.
• Up to date knowledge of technical, statutory, regulatory, and legislative requirements for maintenance delivery.
• Ability to prepare and interpret specifications schedules of work using bespoke or National/published SOR/SOWs.
• Ability to plan, track and forecast safe delivery of customer focused services, works and expenditure within timescales and budgets.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation with focus on compliance.
• Proficient use of IT Systems including Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties to diagnose damp, mould and condensation issues and propose remedial solutions.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and contract documents for repair/maintenance work.
• Manage maintenance contracts: monitor performance, liaise with contractors and consultants, ensure on-time delivery to CDM standards.
• Maintain high-quality data in property systems and local knowledge of customer and asset needs.
• Develop knowledge through ongoing professional development.
