Job summary

Vanrath is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our growing technology and telecommunications client in Belfast. This on-site role offers a salary of £28,000–£30,000 with potential for discussion based on experience. The position is permanent, full-time, with Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

You will provide first-line technical support to business customers, troubleshoot VoIP, telephony and connectivity issues, log and manage tickets, and maintain product knowledge to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in technical support, IT Support or helpdesk environments.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, connectivity troubleshooting).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line technical support to business customers across telecommunications and connectivity services.
• Investigate, diagnose and resolve technical issues relating to VoIP, telephony, broadband and associated network services.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, voice and service-related faults through a structured approach.
• Log, update and manage support tickets, ensuring accurate records of issues and resolutions.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the products and services supported by the business.
