Job summary

PhotoXport Global Ltd in Leicester is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Birstall. You will provide remote and on-site support for large-format printers, inkjet systems, and associated software to ensure fast, effective solutions for customers.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware and software issues, configuring devices, liaising with manufacturers for warranties, delivering basic training, and keeping service records. Travel may be required for on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical support role, ideally in imaging, printing or IT.
• Knowledge of photographic and printing equipment, including inkjet or large-format printers.
• Familiarity with image processing software and colour management workflows.
• Basic networking and computer hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Passport and driver's license for on-site visits.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers using photographic and printing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including color management and printer calibration.
• Assist customers with setup, configuration, and operation of devices and software.
• Liaise with manufacturers and vendors for warranty claims, escalations, and technical bulletins.
• Maintain accurate service records and customer documentation.
• Collaborate with the sales team to offer pre- and post-sales technical assistance.
• Deliver basic training to customers and internal staff on product usage and troubleshooting.
• Stay up to date with new products, firmware updates, and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process or product improvements.
