Job summary

VDA Group Spa in Watford, UK, seeks a Technical Service Specialist to support customers, partners and installers with hardware, software, connectivity and configuration issues. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges while working closely with internal teams to improve products and support processes.

The role offers full-time hours in Watford with a salary in a £28,000–£35,000 gross per year range, depending on experience and skills.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Automation or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in technical support, system support, field service or a similar technical role.
• Good understanding of hardware, software, connectivity and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with system configuration, remote testing and commissioning activities.
• Ability to manage multiple technical requests, priorities and escalation processes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-level technical support via phone, email and remote support tools.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity and system-related issues.
• Performing initial technical assessments and identifying appropriate corrective actions.
• Supporting remote system configuration, commissioning, testing and start-up activities.
• Verifying system parameters, connectivity and operating status.
• Managing technical support tickets from initial request through resolution or escalation.
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation, service records and knowledge-base content.
• Reporting recurring technical issues and product feedback, contributing to the continuous improvement of products and support processes.
