Job summary

VDA Telkonet in Watford, UK is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to support customers, partners and installers in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, connectivity and configuration issues. You will work closely with customers and internal technical teams to provide first-level technical support.

You will perform administrative tasks, maintain documentation, manage tickets, and contribute to continuous improvement of products and support processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electronics, electrical engineering, CS, telecoms, automation or related field.
• Experience in technical support, system support, field service or similar role.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, connectivity and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with system configuration, remote testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-level technical support via phone, email and remote tools
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity and system issues
• Performing initial technical assessments and identifying corrective actions
• Supporting remote system configuration, commissioning, testing and start-up activities
• Verifying system parameters, connectivity and operating status
• Managing technical support tickets from initial request through resolution or escalation
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation, service records and knowledge-base content
• Reporting recurring technical issues and product feedback, contributing to continuous improvement of products and support processes
