A leading council in North Lincolnshire is seeking a motivated individual for a permanent, full-time role providing vital technical and administrative support to the Building Control service. The successful candidate will manage communications and documentation, ensuring efficient service delivery while contributing to public service excellence.
Salary: Grade 4 £24,790 to £26,409 per year
Location Church Square House, Scunthorpe
Hours: 37 hours per week

The Vacancy
This post will be providing vital technical and administrative support to the Council's Building Control service, including answering emails, taking phone calls and dealing with invoices and payments across all aspects of the work, including Building Notice and Full Plan applications, dangerous structures and demolitions. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in customer service, organisation, and administration.
Key Requirements:
Good customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner
Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage a varied and demanding workload
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in both oral and written communication
A proactive approach to work, with the confidence to use your own initiative
A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in working practices
