Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking aTechnical Supervisor in York to oversee the operation of managed facilities. The role involves managing the main building, ensuring preventative maintenance, replying to client requests, and pursuing opportunities for facility improvements and additional services.

The candidate will lead maintenance staff, work with vendors, interpret blueprints, and prepare performance and financial reports.

Qualifications

• FM knowledge required.
• 18th Edition OR F-Gas.
• Apprentice trained is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and building automation systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to them.
• Respond to and resolve client requests and maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Manage and oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and monitoring performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned facilities and surrounding area.
• Assist with development of proposals and bids for new business.
• Opportunity to grow, supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and facility staff.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and financial metrics.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Supervisor in York to oversee the operation of our managed facilities.

The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for managing the main building, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed, responding to client requests, and identifying and pursuing opportunities for facility improvements and additional service offerings.

The Role
