Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Cumbernauld seeks an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the operation of managed facilities. You will manage a portfolio of buildings, ensure preventative maintenance, respond to client requests, and identify opportunities for improvements and additional services.

The role offers potential to grow a team of maintenance technicians and staff, develop proposals, oversee vendor relationships, and submit performance and financial reports.

Qualifications

• FM knowledge is required.
• 18th Edition or F-Gas certification is required.
• Apprentice-trained is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security systems and building automation.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence.
• Respond to and resolve client requests and maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and quality of service.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned facilities and area.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Supervisor in Cumbernauld to oversee the operation of our managed facilities.

The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for managing a portfolio of buildings, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed, responding to client requests, and identifying and pursuing opportunities for facility improvements and additional service offerings.

The Role

• Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including but not limited to: Electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security systems, and building automation systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to these schedules.
• Respond to and resolve client requests and maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Manage and oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring quality of service.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned facilities and the surrounding area.
• Assist with the development of proposals and bids for new business.
• Opportunity to grow, supervisor and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and other facility staff.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and financial metrics.

Hours

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 5pm
• Overtime available
