Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in York is seeking a highly motivated Technical Supervisor to oversee the operation of managed facilities. The role focuses on maintaining and improving building systems, coordinating preventative maintenance, and ensuring client satisfaction.

You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage vendor relationships, and contribute to proposals for new work while delivering reports on performance and financial metrics.

Qualifications

• FM knowledge required.
• 18th Edition OR F-Gas.
• Apprentice trained is advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of facility operations, including electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security, and building automation systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to these schedules.
• Respond to and resolve client requests and maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Manage and oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, managing performance, and ensuring quality of service.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned facilities and the surrounding area.
• Assist with the development of proposals and bids for new business.
• Opportunity to grow, supervise and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and other facility staff.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and financial metrics.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Supervisor in York to oversee the operation of our managed facilities.

The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for managing the main building, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed, responding to client requests, and identifying and pursuing opportunities for facility improvements and additional service offerings.

The Role

• Monday - Friday
• 8am - 5pm
• Overtime available
