Job summary

Bank of England is seeking a Technical Specialist in the Market Settlements Team (MST) within the Central Banking Operations Division in London. You will provide subject matter expertise across securities settlement, cash funding, asset servicing custody, and selected derivatives, ensuring accurate processing in a controlled environment.

You will lead on technical issue resolution, support change initiatives, and promote continuous improvement, automation, and risk control across settlement

Qualifications

• Experience in securities settlements, collateral management, asset servicing, swaps or futures related cash and reconciliation activity.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality, well controlled outputs in a regulated environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and accurate settlement of securities and cash movements following market conventions.
• Apply knowledge of core banking and securities systems to support end-to-end processing and issue resolution.
• Investigate and resolve operational and system issues; act as escalation point for complex queries.
