Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Sittingbourne. This hybrid role blends technical advisory, customer support and project management to deliver practical solutions and excellent customer experience.

You will engage with customers and internal teams, review specifications, prepare quotations, and support projects from enquiry to delivery, contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
• Experience managing projects or coordinating multiple activities.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Additional language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and application support to customers, distributors and internal teams.
• Review customer specifications and recommend the most suitable solution.
• Prepare quotations and technical proposals.
• Support customer projects from enquiry through to delivery.
• Investigate technical issues, customer complaints and process improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Production teams.
• Assist with customer visits, site surveys, exhibitions and technical presentations when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and business development projects.
