Job summary

CNX Recruitment is partnering with a leading facilities management organisation to recruit an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality technical services on a key contract in Scotland.

You will drive compliance, asset management and continuous improvement, manage a team of engineers, and act as the main technical contact for clients, with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Technical Services Manager or similar role.
• Strong technical background in M&E systems.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Knowledge of compliance and health & safety standards.
• Client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and industry best practices.
• Manage and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists.

• Drive performance through effective planning, KPI management, and reporting.
• Identify and implement opportunities for service improvement and cost efficiency.
• Support lifecycle planning and asset management strategies.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are delivered to the highest standards.

About You

• Proven experience in a Technical Services Manager or similar role within facilities management or a related sector
• Strong technical background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems
• Demonstrable leadership and team management skills
• Excellent knowledge of compliance, statutory regulations, and health & safety standards
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent)
• IOSH or NEBOSH certification (desirable)
