Technical Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead our operations team by delivering excellence in sustainable M&E services, projects, and compliance. The role involves providing leadership, management, and development for our client YBS, based in Bradford, with national coverage at times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supervisors and oversee the engineering workforce, ensuring delivery of M&E services, compliance, and OF delivery. Support the management and execution of Extra Works and M&E/Fabric Projects.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop direct reports, ensuring all mandatory training is completed and a robust succession plan is in place.
  • Manage the supply chain by negotiating value, procuring in line with targets, and ensuring standards, Avetta, and Construction Line compliance. Conduct annual plan rights and performance reviews.
  • Prepare and present MI reports to clients regularly, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure high client satisfaction standards. Develop relationships with client consultants.

To succeed, you should have strong management skills, clear communication, diligence, and ownership skills.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience in delivering high-quality hard M&E services in multi-site environments, with good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. A technical background with a professional qualification and practical experience in electrical, mechanical, gas, or F-Gas trades is required. Desirable qualifications include BIFM, IOSH or NEBOSH, and experience with computer PPM systems like Concept.
