Job summary

Boden Group in the West Midlands is seeking a Technical Services Manager (Fabric) to lead building fabric maintenance across a complex healthcare estate, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant and maintained to recognised standards.

You will manage day-to-day service delivery, directly employed teams and contractors while supporting lifecycle planning, compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Strong knowledge of estates, building maintenance, construction or FM services.
• Ability to lead, delegate and communicate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets and computerised estates management systems.
• Full driving licence to support on-call requirements.
• Knowledge of healthcare statutory maintenance guidance would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage planned fabric maintenance through Maximo, ensuring statutory and technical standards are met.
• Lead staff and contractors, monitoring response times and the quality of completed repairs.
• Manage allocated budgets and negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost-effective services.
• Coordinate condition surveys, maintenance records and information required for lifecycle planning.
• Review contractor RAMS and inspect working practices, quality and safety on site.
• Depose for the Head of Estates when required by the senior management team.
