Job summary

JMC Aviation is recruiting a Technical Services Engineer to join the Stansted team. The role focuses on coordinating maintenance activities, producing work packages, and managing complex projects with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have aviation maintenance experience, proficiency in MS Project and Wings ERP, and the right to work in the UK. The position is permanent and on-site, with competitive benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing engineering projects within aviation or similar industries.
  • Experience in aviation maintenance, operations, CAMO, or manufacturing is desirable.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance activities to optimise on-time delivery within budget.
  • Produce accurate maintenance work packages and manage complex projects.
  • Communicate with customers to plan inputs and translate into work packages.
  • Engage with third-party vendors to arrange services aligning with critical paths.
  • Work with design organisations to engineer customer modifications meeting EASA/Foreign NAA requirements.
  • Lead internal and customer review meetings on defects and requirements.
  • Coordinate aircraft acceptance into maintenance and monitor critical path issues.
  • Provide daily progress updates to customers during maintenance.

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure they are optimised for on-time delivery, within budget, and achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Produce accurate maintenance work packages and managing complex maintenance and modification projects in line with processes and procedures
  • Manage complex aircraft maintenance and modification projects to protect the critical path
  • Professionally communicate with customers to plan maintenance inputs, ensuring work scope is received, understood, and translatable into a tangible work package
  • Communicate with approved third-party vendors to arrange services, ensuring their attendance and time estimates align with critical path requirements
  • Work with Part-21 design organisations to engineer and support customer modification requests, ensuring documentation meets EASA/Foreign NAA requirements for implementation under company approvals
  • Prepare and chair internal pre-input review meetings as well as meetings with customers to discuss defects and specific requirements
  • Coordinate the acceptance of aircraft into maintenance
  • Proactively identify and resolve critical path issues that could affect the aircraft input schedule
  • Provide daily project progress updates to customers during aircraft maintenance
  • Instruct the shipping agent on aircraft import and export procedures for base maintenance projects
  • Review and complete the aircraft library, including Technical Log and Deferral Log, during input and upon release to service
  • Assist Document Control with reviewing completed paperwork and resolving any arising issues
  • Generate documentation and support certifying staff through the return to service stage of aircraft maintenance input
  • Assist the SBDM in managing customer expectations effectively
Candidate Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience in project management within an engineering environment
  • Experience in aviation maintenance, operations, CAMO, or manufacturing
  • Strong PC user skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and MS Project
  • Experience using Wings ERP or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK
