Job summary

JMC Aviation are recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanic on behalf of a leading aviation organisation in the UK. The role focuses on safe, compliant maintenance with attention to technical excellence and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in aircraft industry or equivalent.
• Proven line maintenance experience.
• Experience wiring modifications on Airbus; Boeing experience is an asset.
• Ability to interpret technical publications and make fact-based decisions.
• Working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
• High standard of English (written and spoken).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks per approved documentation and procedures.
• Adhere to the Tooling Policy at all times.
• Maintain health and safety and Human Factors awareness.
• Complete paperwork in line with standards and Storm MOE.
• Keep work area, hangar bays and facilities clean and tidy.
• Notify significant findings as soon as possible.
• Raise safety reports for hazards or incidents.

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanic. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using the latest approved documentation and procedures
• Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times
• Maintain awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health & Safety and Human Factors
• Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards and in line with the Storm MOE
• Ensure that they keep their personal work area, hangar bays and facility clean and tidy at all times
• Notify the company of any significant findings as soon as possible
• Raise a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident

Candidate Requirements

• A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar
• Proven experience in a line maintenance environment
• Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset
• Ability to interpret technical publications and make fact-based decisions
• Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning
• High standard of English language (written and oral)
• High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
• Right to work in the UK
