Cranswick Country Foods Poultry Prepared is a specialty producer of delicious, cooked poultry ingredients and is a leading innovator in the industry. We create exciting, original products that meet the needs of today’s busy consumers. We are proud to have opened a brand new, purpose-built, breaded chicken factory and have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Technical team as Maternity Cover.

The key elements of the role are:

• Governance for development of site-based procedures to ensure compliance with Cranswick Manufacturing standards, 3rd party accreditation standards, and legislative requirements.
• Participate in the investigation and documentation of responses to non-conformities.
• Governance of the site HACCP, Allergen, Integrity, and Internal Audit programs to provide robust food safety systems for the site.
• Governance of the interface between Technical and NPD and drive system improvement with site teams.
• Ensuring all teams are trained and training needs are identified.
• Keeping abreast of changes in technology, legislation, and customer requirements. Ensure that the company is always fully informed and that thorough gap analyses are completed on-site. Use the appropriate systems to drive improvements across the site.
• Ensuring all specifications are in place, signed, up-to-date, and that factory specs/QAS are correct and easy to follow.
• Lead independent projects as needed and drive continuous improvement across the site.
• Participate in artwork approval, process design, validation, and implement additional system requirements for all retailer and own-brand packaging.
• Any other reasonable requests made by the Directors.
