Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager for an international packaging equipment manufacturer based near Maidenhead, covering Yorkshire, Liverpool, Manchester, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within a similar industry.

Position Overview
  1. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads via various channels, qualify and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit and revenue potential.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, understand their needs, and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Cultivate relationships with new clients, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions.
  3. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify industry trends, challenges, and growth opportunities in the packaging equipment sector. Analyze market data and competitor activity to develop strategies for market penetration and differentiation.
  4. Product Knowledge Demonstration: Effectively demonstrate product knowledge to clients.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role with relevant product experience.
Remuneration
  • £40K plus up to £3K quarterly commission
  • Company car or van
  • Life Insurance (4x salary)
  • National travel
  • Auto-enrolment pension
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private Medical after 2 years
  • Approximately 45-hour workweek, Monday to Friday; a proactive and hardworking salesperson is preferred.
