Job summary

SMC Corporation UK Ltd is seeking a driven Sales Consultant to develop existing accounts and identify new business within a defined customer portfolio. You will engage customers over the phone and digital channels, promoting SMC products and services, and supporting sales growth.

You will manage enquiries through to order, build strong relationships, and work with distribution partners. Training and support are provided to enable success in a technical sales environment.

Qualifications

• Previous sales, customer service or account management experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience using CRM systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Develop sales by understanding customer requirements and building strong relationships.
• Generate new business opportunities through proactive customer engagement.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
• Support and maintain relationships with distribution partners.
• Promote SMC products, services and value-added solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities and sales activities within CRM.
• Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Engineers, Customer Services and Technical Support teams.
• Live and demonstrate SMC Values.
