You'll identify opportunities, build relationships and guide projects from enquiry to quotation and order, with training provided to develop technical knowledge and product solutions within a growing team.
Technical Sales Executive | Project focused | Salisbury | £32k + Annual bonus | 36hrs per week
If you enjoy the commercial side of construction, engineering or technical products, but also like getting into the detail of a project, this could be a really interesting next move.
ReQuire Consultancy is working with an established Salisbury-based manufacturer that has built an enviable reputation within its specialist markets. Continued growth and investment within the commercial team has created an opportunity for a Technical Sales Executive/Account Manager to join the business and develop a refurbishment and portfolio project-led opportunities.
* And importantly, you don't need experience within their particular sector.
We're much more interested in finding someone who understands how technical or project-based sales works, perhaps from construction, engineering, manufacturing, building products, facilities, architectural products or another B2B environment where quotations, specifications and longer sales cycles are part of the job.
This isn't a high-volume telesales position. You'll work alongside an experienced Sales Manager, identifying opportunities, developing relationships and following projects from an initial enquiry or specification through to quotation and ultimately order.
You'll be dealing with a varied customer base including contractors, consultants, architects, specifiers, facilities providers and end users, becoming someone customers can rely upon for both commercial and technical support.
There is plenty to learn, but you'll have the support and product training to develop your technical knowledge.
Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing, building products or a similarly project-led environmentwould be particularly useful, but specialist sector knowledge isn't essential.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more substance than a traditional internal sales role. You'll be joining a successful British manufacturer, learning a specialist product range and becoming involved in genuine projects where your advice and commercial input can influence the final solution.
There is a strong existing market to work with, experienced people around you and plenty of scope to build your knowledge and become a trusted specialist within the team.
If you've built your experience around customers, projects and technical products and you're looking for a role where you can develop into something more specialist, we'd be very interested in talking to you
