Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Sales Executive to join our Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) division. The successful candidate will provide technical support and manage customer service, focusing on delivering exceptional service to customers while driving sales of our range of concrete products.

Technical Sales Executive Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell the company's range of RMC and concrete products to a diverse customer base, providing outstanding customer service.
  • Provide technical advice and support to both internal and external customers for the Ready-Mixed Concrete business.
  • Maintain and issue all mix design data for internal use and issue mix design certificates to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with BSI standards for Ready-Mixed Concrete by maintaining all relevant records and processes.
  • Manage staff efficiency, profits, safety, and service in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Act as the first point of contact for many customers, delivering excellent service.
  • Produce accurate reports for line management, including lorry earnings, concrete mix costs, and sales forecasts.
  • Enter all orders and customer requirements into the company operational system.
  • Exhibit excellent teamwork skills, managing and motivating staff, and communicating clear expectations.
  • Communicate and implement standards and work practices to ensure compliance with company policy, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Technical Sales Key Requirements

  • Sound knowledge of sales and managing a sales territory, preferably within the ready-mix concrete environment.
  • Concrete technology parts 1 and 2 preferable, but a minimum of 10 years' experience within the ready-mixed concrete industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of ready-mixed concrete and aggregates.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, numerate, and able to interact with people of different skills and abilities.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Exchange, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to use cloud-based management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a demanding commercial environment.
  • Exceptional team player.
  • Full UK driving licence
