This position is working from home, responsible for the South of England. Expertise from the construction sector, with a focus on specification/specifier sales experience and arboriculture experience.

Our client is a leading specialist product and services supplier to the UK civil engineering and construction industry. They have earned an enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer service within their core markets of geotechnics, geosynthetics, ground stabilisation, tree root protection and erosion control, amongst many others.

Role Summary

Due to continued growth and the strategy to grow significantly over the next three to five years, the business has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Executive to assist with their ambitious expansion plans. The focus for this role is to develop the company’s product range and service offering by calling on and building strong relationships with all specifiers to generate specifications with the support of the engineering team, as well as providing seminars and offering solutions to customer design requests and management of new and existing projects.

The Role
  1. Discover and establish new specifications and identify potential projects.
  2. Achieve personal and department targets.
  3. Develop the company’s service offerings.
  4. Increase Company Brand awareness within Construction/Civil Engineering sectors.
  5. Promote Company products and services.
  6. Provide pre and post site advice, visits, and assistance.
  7. Present CPD style seminars.
  8. Work effectively within the team to ensure market leading standards of customer care and satisfaction at all times.
  9. Provide technical assistance and recommendations utilising the engineering department.
  10. Maintain and update CRM system.
  11. Assist with the implementation of department sales and marketing strategies.
  12. Develop new and existing targeted accounts.
  13. Maintain and increase the conversion rate of technical recommendations to orders.
  14. Deliver monthly reports to the Senior Management team.
The Person
  1. Arboriculture background or practical experience in specialised arboriculture surfacing.
  2. Proven experience in the construction industry gained in a similar role.
  3. Experience in gaining and defending specifications.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Full UK driving licence.
  6. Willing to travel throughout the UK with nights away.
  7. Actively demonstrate the Values and Behaviours of the business.
  8. Understand and work in line with the company’s business plan.
  9. Experience in customer relations.
  10. Computer Literate with good IT skills.
