Job summary

Fusion Utilities, part of the Wolseley Group, is recruiting a Technical Sales Estimator in Chesterfield. This full-time role runs 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary up to £35,000 depending on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will manage estimates, quotations and tenders for strategic customers, drive sales and margins, and build strong relationships with key accounts, suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water, Power, Gas or Civils sector is desirable.
• Knowledge of technical sales and contract pricing to understand products and usage.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractors and framework agreements is advantageous.
• Ability to provide technical advice and solution-based sales support, not just quotes.
• Knowledge of contract pricing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach and problem-solving with a focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide a point of contact for strategic Wolseley Infrastructure customers regarding estimates, quotations and tenders.
• Deal with customers’ requirements and ensure administrative processes are completed.
• Maintain high level of customer service to key focus customers to maximise sales potential.
• Drive sales and margin growth through effective quoting and contract support.
• Develop new and existing business opportunities through expertise and relationship building with customers, Key Account Managers, Regional Directors and Suppliers.
• Work closely with suppliers to obtain contract support and keep up-to-date with products and price increases.

As a Technical Sales Estimator, you'll be responsible for:

• Providing a point of contact for strategic Wolseley Infrastructure customers regarding estimates, quotations and tenders
• Dealing with customers’ requirements and ensure associated administrative processes are completed
• Managing and maintaining a high level of customer service to key focus customers to maximise sales potential
• Driving sales and margin growth through means of effective quoting and contract support acquisition
• Helping to develop new and existing business opportunities through expertise and relationship building with customers, Key Account Managers, Regional Directors and Suppliers
• Working closely with suppliers to obtain contract support and keep up-to-date with new products and price increases

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm.

And here's what we'd like you to have:

• Experience within the Water, Power, Gas or Civils sector is highly desirable
• Knowledge of technical sales and contract pricing to have an understanding of products and how they are used
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and framework agreements would be advantageous
• The ability to provide technical advice and solution-based sales support, rather than simply processing quotes and orders
• Knowledge of contract pricing
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Prior experience in working cross functionally with other teams
• A proactive approach, with excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
