ion-tec Ltd, a long-established engineering manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in Rotherham. The role focuses on maintaining and expanding an established customer base, drafting quotations, and coordinating enquiries to move projects from enquiry to order.

Based in the commercial team with occasional travel to customer sites and exhibitions, you’ll build trusted relationships with engineers, buyers and senior decision makers while delivering technically sound solutions and

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Confident communication with engineers, buyers and senior decision makers.
• Strong customer service ethos with ability to manage multiple enquiries.
• Organised, commercially aware and relationship-focused.
• Background in technical sales, internal sales, applications engineering or account management.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for existing customers, understanding requirements and coordinating enquiries.
• Prepare quotations and ensure projects progress from enquiry to order.
• Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships; identify opportunities for engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide practical, commercially viable solutions.
