Job summary

ion-tec Ltd in Rotherham is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with heavy fabrication expertise to convert customer enquiries, drawings and tenders into accurate, commercially viable proposals.

You will work within the commercial team to review RFQs, liaise with Design, Engineering and Fabrication, develop costings and present detailed quotations aimed at securing orders for bespoke fabricated equipment and structural steelwork.

Qualifications

• Experience within heavy fabrication, structural steelwork or bespoke fabricated equipment (≤140 chars)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications (≤140 chars)
• Experience turning enquiries and tenders into quotations and commercial proposals (≤140 chars)
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate with engineers, buyers and senior decision-makers (≤140 chars)

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tenders, drawings and technical specifications
• Establish scope and identify technical and commercial clarifications
• Develop costings for bespoke fabricated equipment
• Prepare detailed quotations and commercial proposals
• Coordinate with Design, Engineering and Fabrication to define manufacturing requirements and costs
• Manage enquiries through tender and quotation process
• Identify risks before submission and present proposals to customers
• Build credible relationships with engineering, procurement and commercial contacts
