Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to support customers across the manufacturing and engineering sectors. This role blends technical know-how in CNC machining and metal cutting with a commercial focus to help clients improve productivity and reduce costs.

You will work with customers, internal teams and partners to identify opportunities, deliver tailored engineering solutions and develop long-term business relationships as a Technical Sales

Qualifications

• Three years+ experience in technical sales or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes and applications.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and grow customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements that boost manufacturing efficiency.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and measurable operational improvements.
• Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
• Plan, conduct and evaluate tooling trials for successful outcomes.
• Provide expert advice on metal cutting tools, machining applications and tooling selection.
• Grow existing strategic accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal sales, field sales and business development teams to maximise territory performance.
• Lead technical discussions to support new business development and customer growth plans.
• Provide technical guidance to sales colleagues.
