Job summary

SER Limited in Yorkshire is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support customers across the region with a strong CNC machining and metalworking background. The role focuses on enhancing machining processes, reducing costs and delivering better manufacturing solutions rather than selling CNC machines directly.

You will identify process improvements, run tooling trials and assist in CNC process optimisation while developing existing accounts and winning new business, supported by the Field

Qualifications

• Experience in applications engineering for CNC machining and tooling.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and tooling applications.
• Background in manufacturing, production or process engineering.
• Experience in technical sales or customer-facing engineering.
• Familiarity with CNC machining optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify process improvements, cost savings and efficiency gains.
• Conduct cutting tool trials and recommend tooling speeds and feeds.
• Support CNC machining optimisation across milling and turning.
• Develop existing customer accounts and win new business.
• Support and develop the Field Sales team with technical expertise.
• Collaborate with strategic tooling and manufacturing suppliers.

Technical Sales Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Yorkshire

Salary:£55,000 plus bonuses, Company Car, Hybrid Working

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer with a strong CNC machining and metalworking background to support customers across Yorkshire.This is a technical, customer-facing role focused on improving machining processes, reducing costs and finding better manufacturing solutions. The role is not about selling CNC machines themselves.
