Job summary

SER Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Regional Technical Manager to lead Applications Engineering and Technical Sales teams across Yorkshire. The role centers on CNC metal cutting and manufacturing, helping customers enhance machining processes, productivity and tooling solutions—rather than selling CNC machines themselves.

The role involves leading, coaching and expanding the technical team, driving tool trials, and building strong customer relationships with a focus on productivity

Qualifications

• CNC / metal cutting and manufacturing background.
• Experience in technical sales, applications or engineering management.
• Experience working with tool trials and engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and cutting tools.
• Experience leading technical teams.

• Support customers across CNC milling, turning, 3/4/5-axis and turn-mill applications.
• Drive cutting tool trials, process optimisation and productivity improvements.
• Develop key customer relationships and new business opportunities.

• Work closely with sales, engineering, suppliers and key customer stakeholders.

Regional Technical Manager :Yorkshire

Salary :£65,000 + Company Car | Hybrid working

We are looking for an experienced Regional Technical Manager to lead Applications Engineering and Technical Sales teams across the Northern Region for a leading metalworking solutions business.

This is a technical leadership role within CNC metal cutting and manufacturing. The focus is on helping customers improve their machining processes, productivity and tooling solutions - not selling CNC machines themselves.

The Role

• Lead and develop Applications & Technical Sales teams.
• Support customers across CNC milling, turning, 3/4/5-axis and turn-mill applications.
• Drive cutting tool trials, process optimisation and productivity improvements.
• Develop key customer relationships and new business opportunities.
• Work with cutting tools, work holding, tool management and turnkey solutions.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, suppliers and key customer stakeholders.
• Recruit, coach and develop the technical team.

What We Need

• CNC / metal cutting / manufacturing background.
• Technical sales, applications or engineering management experience.
• Working with customers on tool trials, machining solutions and engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and cutting tools: milling, turning, drilling, threading and tooling systems.
• Leading, managing or developing technical teams.
