Job summary

WR Engineering in Knutsford, United Kingdom is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to interpret technical specifications and drawings, delivering accurate quotations and expert support throughout the enquiry and quotation process.

You will work closely with customers and the external sales team, using your mechanical engineering knowledge to provide commercially sound solutions and manage orders from enquiry to order entry.

Qualifications

• A mechanical engineering qualification (Degree, HND or equivalent).
• Experience in a technical engineering environment, ideally in internal sales, applications engineering, quotations or customer support.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills and confidence discussing technical solutions with customers.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage multiple enquiries at once.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for customers with technical and commercial enquiries.
• Producing detailed quotations based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Providing technical guidance and product support to customers throughout the enquiry process.
• Processing customer orders and managing projects from enquiry through to order entry.
• Liaising with engineering, production and external sales teams to ensure customers receive the right solution.
• Managing enquiry deadlines and keeping customers updated on project progress.
