Job summary

Theo James Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for a growing engineering business in Newcastle. You will manage enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation and order placement, while working closely with engineering and operations teams.

The role requires an engineering or industrial background, the ability to interpret drawings, and strong communication skills. A Full UK driving licence is essential, with a pension, car scheme, and cycle-to-work benefits on

Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries from initial contact through to quotation, negotiation and order placement.
• Develop technical proposals with engineering/operations teams; build lasting customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Review engineering drawings, prepare quotations, provide technical advice and ensure commercially competitive solutions.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts across oil & gas, subsea, renewables and wider industrial sectors.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing engineering business.

The Technical Sales Engineer will manage enquiries from initial customer contact through to quotation, negotiation and order placement. Working closely with engineering and operations teams, the Technical Sales Engineer will develop technical proposals, build lasting customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.

The Technical Sales Engineer will review engineering drawings, prepare quotations, provide technical advice and ensure commercially competitive solutions are delivered. Alongside maintaining existing accounts, the Technical Sales Engineer will proactively identify opportunities across oil & gas, subsea, renewables and wider industrial sectors.

This Technical Sales Engineer role offers excellent exposure to technically challenging engineering projects within a supportive, collaborative business.

• Previous technical sales or applications engineering experience

• Able to interpret engineering drawings

• CRM experience desirable
