Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer, Air to Water

Division: Technical

Reporting to: Deputy General Manager

Position: Full-time

SUMMARY:

The Technical Sales Engineer will support distributors and partners in territories including Europe and CIS, focusing on Air to Water products. They will collaborate with MHI design/aftersales sections, MHIAE sales/aftersales teams, and MHI factories under the supervision of the section manager.

The role involves promoting new products through presentations and seminars, providing on-site services such as commissioning, and enhancing technical knowledge of MHI products. The engineer will also engage in benchmarking, marketing analysis, product planning, and supporting joint development activities with European manufacturers.

DETAILS / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide technical support to distributors, end users, and consultants.
• Respond promptly to technical inquiries via email or phone.
• Investigate unit issues by analyzing operational data using service tools.
• Visit sites for commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Support customer inquiries and activities at distributor or customer offices.
• Review project drawings, settings, and operational data.
• Prepare reports on site visits.
• Assist in spare parts activities to improve delivery.
• Calculate performance and cost-saving benefits.
• Propose technical sales solutions.
• Organize maintenance schemes.
• Conduct water sampling and analysis to improve products.

• Collaborate with European manufacturers to enhance sales solutions.

• Maintain relationships with European manufacturers of components like water tanks and heat exchangers.
• Research sales and service solutions for MHI products.
• Share knowledge among business partners regarding system design and standards.

• Register products for subsidy schemes and quality certifications.

• Manage product registration and maintain compliance with certification programs.
• Coordinate tests and factory audits as required.
• Research subsidy and certification opportunities.

• Prepare technical support documents in English and European languages.

• Improve technical documentation and create new service tools.
• Support design and service activities.

• Promote MHI products through seminars, presentations, and brochures.

• Survey market information and benchmark competitors’ products.
• Research relevant standards, regulations, and EU directives.
• Attend exhibitions and industry seminars.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING:

• Degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of technical experience with A2W systems.
• Fundamental understanding of water systems for sanitary and heating purposes.
• Knowledge of heat pump and water systems, regulations, and EU directives related to boilers and heat pumps.
• Knowledge of VRF systems or chillers is beneficial.

Additional skills include:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
• Knowledge of other European languages is beneficial.
• Ability to prioritize and understand customer requirements.
• Proficiency with PC (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to create presentations and analyze operation data.
• Willingness to travel across Europe on short notice; valid visa-free status required.

Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (35 hours/week, 1-hour lunch).
