Job summary

Visum Recruitment is sourcing an Engineering Business Developer to cover Northern England, with a focus on Manchester. You will drive territory growth, build relationships with engineering consultancies and key stakeholders, and influence project specifications from start to delivery.

The role requires a technically minded sales professional who can operate autonomously while sharing knowledge with a collaborative team, and who can navigate complex engineering markets.

Qualifications

• Experience selling to engineering consultancies and influencing specifications.
• Background in engineering, construction, mechanical systems or technical/industrial products would be advantageous.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, engineers and decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development across the territory, identifying target accounts and projects.
• Develop relationships with engineering groups, influencing master and project specifications.
• Collaborate with the wider sales team to manage opportunities and ensure proper handover in Salesforce.
• Build strong industry connections and stay updated on market trends and competitor activity.
