Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Chemical, Process or Safety Engineer with significant process safety experience in design engineering, EPC or consultancy environments.
• Chartered status, or working towards professional registration, is desirable.

Technical Safety Manager (Stockton)

We have been retained by px Group to manage the recruitment for a Technical Safety Manager based in Stockton!

This is a genuine technical leadership role, owning technical safety across projects from concept and FEED right through detailed design and commissioning support.

As Technical Safety Manager, you will lead HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL and hazardous area classification studies, develop and own the technical safety philosophies, design bases and specifications, and lead fire and explosion assessments and consequence modelling. You will work hand in hand with the Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines to identify hazards early and design safer plant, as well as acting as a senior technical interface with clients at design reviews, workshops and HAZOPs.

The Technical Safety Manager provides technical assurance for the project lead, leadership to engineers and acts as the senior technical interface with clients and multidiscipline teams.

We are looking for a degree qualified Chemical, Process or Safety Engineer with significant process safety experience gained within a design engineering, EPC or consultancy environment across the chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceutical, energy or wider process industries. Chartered status, or working towards professional registration, is desirable.
